The province of Cordoba is internationally recognised as the Dove shooting capital of the World with population estimates of 20-50 million birds although with volumes this high, accurate assessment is impossible. All we can say is that the experience is reminiscent of a biblical plague where hunters can easily shoot 1000 cartridges per day or more depending on your appetite and ability to withstand the recoil of taking so many shots. We heard an account of one party taking 95000 birds in 4 days with one gun taking 13800 with a hit ration of 98%, such is the sport available.
The rising price of Soya on the international market has resulted in many farmers converting from the Dove’s preferred diet of Corn Sunflowers and Sorghum and as a result bird numbers are increasingly concentrated resulting in fierce competition for the best flights and we have heard stories of competing Outfitters becoming closely bunched in order to accommodate their clients. This is not an issue with our Outfitter who is well established in the region boasting high quality accommodation situated close to water and roosting, an ideal combination but please see the pictures for yourself.

Transfers from Buenos Aires take over 7 hours by car and as such transfer flights taking approx one hour are the order of the day and your outfitter will meet you at the International airport, assist with firearm importation should that be relevant before transferring you to the domestic airport for your onward journey. The same is true on your return. Flights from BA to Cordoba are regular and our Estancia is only a short drive from the airport so you could easily find yourself hunting within an hour of so of your arrival!
