Nestled below the highest point of the ancient Magliesberg Mountain Range in the heart of the Magalies River Valley, Ingwe Bush Camp is situated on the privately owned Nooitgedacht Game Ranch, only 90 mins drive from Johannesburg International Airport.

Hunting Area at Ingwe Bush Camp below the Magaliesberg Mountains

I first visited Ingwe Bush Camp in October 2008 and can tell you that the reserve comprises of classic African bushveld ranging from savanna grasslands to riverine forests, and high mountain flora and woodlands. This diverse habitat supports a large variety of game, boasting more than 20 different species including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, gemsbok, kudu, impala, leopard and hyaena.

Personally, and professionally, managed by Cliff Sanders, the Outfit benefits greatly from the knowledge and skills that he has derived from more than 20 years of hunting in Africa. Whether you are an experienced hunter, or novice, he will ensure that you experience adventure in the true African style and I can vouch personally for the great hunting and warm, sincere hospitality afforded by Cliff and his family and as recently as January 2010 have revisited Ingwe when I shot a fabulous Mountaii Reedbuck as seen below:

Ingwe Bush Camp is exactly that - an authentic safari style tented camp well sited amongst the trees of the riverine forest, with comfortable, well appointed tents with en-suite bathrooms and private verandahs offering repose and tranquility to reflect on the days hunt...and there's a bar too!

These pictures were taken three weeks apart and graphically demonstrate the difference between the wet and dry seasons although hunting takes place all year round in Magaliesberg.

How can I put this nicely? The Bush Camp is a great way to enjoy an African tented Safari without a drama! The facilities are clean and comfortable and the company excellent - really! Dinner is usually served around the fire in the boma, and Cliff knows that what his guests want most of all is a good time, fun, good company and some great hunting - add that lot together and you're sure to go home with a smile as broad as mine!
