Outcast Hunting - Real Predators in Namibia! |
Regardless of your personal motives for wishing to come to Namibia hunting, one thing that I think we all share is the thrill of the chase, at actually process of tracking and stalking regardless of the outcome - so what better to pit your wits against than a couple of Africa's most elusive and despised game species - ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Jackal and the Hyaena!
OK, so we may all have read the stories from days gone by about open-range hunting and massive herds of Elephant and Rhino, but for today's hunter, the dream of the legendary 'Big Five' may never become a reality - in fact, when we recently looked at the export quota's for lion and leopard from many Southern African countries, it may soon be a case of us not being able to hunt these either!
So lets consider some alternatives then - we want to hunt something challenging, something cunning and very possibly dangerous to boot. In short, we wold like to introduce you to some of the most challenging hunting in modern Africa and if you think the European fox is cunning, imagine how sharp he'd become if he had to contend with being on the menu for lion, leopard, hyaena and cheetah himself - and one only has to look into the dark emotionless eyes of the hyena, let alone his mouth, to see what's in his mind as he stalks you!

These two predators are vastly under-estimated by Safari Hunters and for what reason? Certainly the local tribes people are very cautious in the presence of hyaena and the jackal is the constant scourge of the African farmer - so lets re-think what sport and trophy hunting is really all about - and for many of us, pitting your skill, stealth, personal fitness and marksmanship against a quarry in its own back yard, one with superior senses of sight, smell and hearing and with the ability to ruin your whole day too should it get withing chomping distance of you - well, Outcast Hunting offers you all this and more!
And another thing - just take a look around any African taxidermy and see for yourself how few Hyaena trophies you will find - and lets face it - one-on-one with Mr Leo may be dramatic, but one-on-fifteen with a pack of hyaena is a whole different category of dangerous!
Outcast Hunting is amazing value for money - and here is a prime example (specifically for UK Hunters):
We travel via Air Namibia who have a regular scheduled service running out of London's Gatwick Airport. Departing on a Friday Evening, you will arrive in Windheok, capital of Namibia early on Saturday morning. Saturday is a travelling and acclimatisation day although if you're ready, we may also be able to squeeze in a bit of hunting here too, although Sunday - Wednesday are dedicated hunting days. Thursday is set aside for the return journey to Windhoek where we stop for a few beers and a decent meal before flying back to Gatwick, arriving early hours of Friday Morning.

I just had word from Oom Burger Oelofsen from Etosha View who sent me these pictures:
This is the damage that Burger Oelofsen suffered when one of his Ostriches turned nasty - at Oom Burger's request we are delighted to add this agressive Ostrich to the 'Outcasts' and invite any and all to come hunt it - and put me down for a drumstick when you do! Here is the environment that these huge birds live in - its open range savanna-style grassland on the edge of the Etosha Pan.
Feel free to contact us for details of where you can come Outcast Hunting with the Hunting Agency in Namibia - they may not be the stuff of legends, but fun is where you find it and we know exactly where that is!
