The Estancia Los dos Hermanos is owned and operated by the Migueles family who arrived with the first Europeans to migrate to this region of
Argentina. Located some 11km from Parana, Capital of Entre Rios, this ranch is set on 150 acres of fine agricultural land and boasts a 5-star, 7 bedroom South American style lodge for your comfort. The family owns and manages 4 islands that are set upon the
Parana River, approx 11km from the ranch. Upon arriving at the wharf, guest take a thirty-minute cruiser to one of their islands where the shooting team walks you to your hunting blinds and are always close by in case of needs.
The Migueles are a professional and specialized group of people who have our clients interests at the front of their minds at all times, continually doint their utmost to satisfy their requirements during their visits to the Lodge. They understand that the global markets are taking their toll on many issues and especially where recreation and vacations are concerned, therefore have decided to try and offer an unparalleled excursion with unparalleled rates.
The Estancia Los dos Hermanos offers the same standards and excursions that are to be seen in the very top Argentinean Lodges and can also offer Fishing, Horse back Riding and on occasions a real Rodeo with the local Gaucho community.
The Lodge has several 4 x 4 vehicles available for use during the Hunting excursions, this gives visitors a good deal of flexibility for all situations. The permanent Staff consist of 3 Guides, 3 Drivers, Translator, House maids, Bird Boys and an exemplary Chef called Alfredo. They endeavour to cover all of their guests needs to ensure their return the following year. The grounds at the Lodge consist of 150 acres of good agricultural land that has been harvested for the past several years with Soya, Wheat and Maize - ideal for wing shooting and much loved by the local Dove population!
The Lodge has recently been extended specifically for the Hunters, there are a total of 7 bedrooms of which 5 are working twin rooms with either en-suit or private adjacent bathrooms. The interior has been given a great deal of thought regarding comfort and ambient surroundings with a touch of Africa thrown in. The proprietors want our guests to feel right at home and enjoy the comfort that awaits them during their trip. There is also cable TV and internet for those who still want to remain in touch with the outside world.
Los Dos Hermanos owns a private 2,900 acre Island approximately 25 minutes from the Lodge, where there are as many as 800 Cattle and 55 Horses at one time. The Hunters have the option and are recommended to take an afternoon off from Hunting, and take in the afternoon cattle round up with the local Gauchos and farm hands. This involves Horse Riding as well as using your skills in attempting to herd the cattle into the corals, an excellent opportunity but far from compulsary.
In addition, their
Island's boast 9 large Lagunas where there is an abundance of fresh water fish. Guests can fish the River Parana instead of taking an afternoon nap, or choose to make a morning of fishing, allowing your shoulder to heal from the previous day of hunting. Fishing gear is available. The fish include Dorado, Piranha, Surubi, Boga, and Sabalo to name just a few. The
Island can also provide horseback riding and an old fashioned cattle round up that takes place each afternoon, where as many as 800 cows are herded into corrals for safety.
As part of the Gaucho season, there are several Rodeo style days on the Island, each Gaucho helps the other when branding and vaccinating. The Islands themselves and the Gaucho community are a rarity and are there to be enjoyed by the various visitors and Hunters that come to our Lodge. This is a remarkable experience, where the life of the gaucho is so slow, laid back and tranquil, and yet great fun with a great deal of excitement, this is not to be missed.
Alfredoâs is a new Argentinean style Parilla restaurant that is not a part of the Lodge, but a stand alone venture of the owners. However, visiting Hunters are more than welcome to try out this special and exquisite style of cooking where the Lomo and Chorizo steaks are more than large in size, your eyes will bulge with amazement. The restaurant has 24 covers in a stylish and comfortable ambient atmosphere, where local and overseas visitors can really enjoy the fine meats that are in abundance in Argentina.
Directly in front of the Lodge, there are approximately 52 acres of fine agricultural land that has been sewn and harvested for the past several years that we have owned this property. The proprietors have designed a 9 Hole Golf Course that is hoped will be another attraction for visitors. The design has been completed and the first green has been put into motion.
