For those looking for an authentic Highland Stalking experience where the quality of the experience is more important than the resultant trophy, we are delighted to offer Hill Stags and Hinds at the gateway to the Highlands near Callandar in the Trossachs.
This is the home of Rob Roy who lived died and is buried here and for the many, ourselves included, the location scenery and history of this magical place adds a different dimension to the stalking experience. The photographs displayed show a fair representation of what the region is like and since stalking is conducted in the spirit of fair chase, on foot without vehicular support, we would recommend that guests are relatively fit and have suitable clothing and equipment since the weather can and does change very quickly.
In terms of pricing, a day on the hill for Red Stag will cost £395 while a day’s Hind Stalking is just £200 and while there is a healthy population of deer available, guests should anticipate taking just one beast per day since the recovery is done without the aid of vehicles or ponies.
