Snowmobile Safari

Lapland Snowmobile Safaris provide a wilderness experience and adventure like no other. Days are spent touring remote regions only accessible by snow machine with each guest captaining their own vehicle and accompanied by experienced Arctic Guides. During your Safari you will enjoy traditional meals and comfort breaks, generally around a roaring fire before over-nighting in fabulous traditional lodges and hotels.

Before your Safari commences you will be collected from the Lapland Airport in Gällivare and taken to our base camp at Linafallet which is located beside a river and waterfall in a forest environment for vehicle familiarisation and to be outfitted in the appropriate level of clothing – this is included in the package. We will return you to the Airport at the end of your visit during which time our trained and experienced team of Guides will take good care of you.

Snowmobile Safaris take place between Jan – April and comprised of groups of 4-12 persons. Training is provided in how to drive your Snowmobile so while previous experience is not essential, a reasonable level of fitness and mobility most certainly is!

Further details of these Arctic wilderness adventures can be found at www.laplandSnowmobileSafaris.com and if you are very fortunate you may also get to experience the wonder which are the Aurora Borealis.

The Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon unique to the frozen North and where better to search for them than Swedish Lapland!

As with al the best things in life, their appearance cannot be guaranteed since atmospheric weather and climate changes have a huge impact on them but our Wilderness Cabins situated in Swedish Lapland within the Arctic Circle provide an ideal location to base yourself from in order to search for them.

There are countless websites which offer advice on how to predict and forecast when the Northern Lights will be active but like predicting the weather, this is far from a perfect science, as such no Tour Operator or Guide can realistically assure visitors of success. What we would say however is that in order to maximize your chances, visit a region like Gällivare or Linafallet where viewings are relatively frequent and often and you stand a reasonable chance!

This is your chance to experience and savour this unique location and to explore the Arctic, creating memories that will last a lifetime!
